It’s my/our gift to mommy! (Ate Nai will be the one who print it. Hoho) Her birthday is on March 4. And I know it sucks and it doesn’t look like her much but hey, I did my 101% in this digital painting (? sort of). Not bad for a beginner eh? Next is Mama! Her birthday is on March 9! Yeeeh. Anyway, photoshop cs5 and mouse were used. *u*
Jo-goo, a street magician (Lee Min-ki), notices a miserable looking girl, Yeo-ri (Son Ye-jin), in the audience during one of his performances, and she winds up being the inspiration for his “Horror magic show.” The show became a runaway success almost overnight and Jo-goo in turn, is now a successful stage magician with a model girlfriend. Yeo-ri works for Jo-goo, playing the specter in his show. Forward to almost a year later, the darkness inside her, something her fellow colleagues sense, keeps her from truly connecting with them. When Jo-goo’s attempt to include Yeo-ri in a staff dinner finally succeeds, hilarious disaster ensues when she ends up blindingly drunk. Jo-goo calls Yeo-ri the next morning to sort things out, but when the phone disconnects with a weird sound, he decided to drop by her place for a visit instead. There, Jo-goo met and engages in a game of hide-and-seek with a ghost child, which then scared the bejesus out of him later that night. As the two of them spent more time together, developing a fast friendship, Yeo-ri confesses the long story behind her gray, wan face. (*)
It’s a Korean movie again! lol. So, I watched this yesterday afternoon coz yeah I got bored again (what a bum life!!) but I actually planned to go outside the house and find job somewhere, but unfortunately, I fell on the stairs, (take note: I’m on the last step) which caused me to have sprain in my right ankle. Stupid right? I know, I know. Well, going back to the movie, it’s a Horror-Romantic-Comedy or whatever you may call it.
I don’t want to give spoilers about the movie (if you haven’t watch it yet) but I am telling you, some scenes are shocking! My heart almost jumped out. lol. Oehmgie. Especially when the lady ghost is appearing. I don’t know if it’s the sound effect, the make up or I am such a coward that time, (coz I’m the only one watching in the room, while my sister and her friends are in the living room, laughing out loud etc etc.)
So uhm the ratings! Wala na kasi akong masabi pa. lol. 7/10 stars! I can’t say that it’s a must watch but the movie has this 3 package I am looking for – 1) Romance. 2) Thrill/Suspense. and 3) Heartbreaking lines (speech or sort of)…(?) Hehehe! And… I’m going to color now a drawing I made yesterday night. Til the next post Worpy! :)
5 days… I was gone in social media / fb, tumblr, wattpad, Worpy, twitter etc. etc… for 5 days because AYS (my lappy) need to be reformatted and so I don’t have any connection with the net at all. But these drawings were made, one time, only one day, when I got really bored and have nothing to do with the notebooks I have in my room. So yeah, you get the point.
You see the first drawing? It was really intended to be a gothic, emo girl but it turned out like that. I dunno, it’s kinda whimsical and musical to my eye. Haha! The second drawing was a trial, though. I don’t know how to do a cute lady with swirly swirl around her body so I made her hair like it was knotted at the bottom like a flower. Teeheee. The third drawing was supposed to be a hand only but it kinda looked like plain so I added a rose and some thorns. The fourth, a trial also because I don’t know how to draw something cool. Haha. Failed. And the fifth!!! Ahm, I have nothing to say. The eye was so unproportional for me. Didn’t have time to edit it so I just left it like that. Mehehe.
Anyway, all of the drawings I have (except for the drawings that I posted here) were now gone! Huhuhuhu. I just realize that I didn’t copy them to a flash drive when my lappy was reformatted. Now, I have to do it all, AGAIN.
P.S. I used a pen. A black pen.
“Celia Reynolds is the youngest in a set of triplets and the one with the least valuable power. Anne can see the future, and Jane can see the present, but all Celia can see is the past. And the past seems so insignificant — until Celia meets Lo. Lo doesn’t know who she is. Or who she was. Once a human, she is now almost entirely a creature of the sea — a nymph, an ocean girl, a mermaid — all terms too pretty for the soulless monster she knows she’s becoming. Lo clings to shreds of her former self, fighting to remember her past, even as she”s tempted to embrace her dark immortality. When a handsome boy named Jude falls off a pier and into the ocean, Celia and Lo work together to rescue him from the waves. The two form a friendship, but soon they find themselves competing for Jude”s affection. Lo wants more than that, though. According to the ocean girls, there”s only one way for Lo to earn back her humanity. She must persuade a mortal to love her … and steal his soul.”
Okay, so this is a book review. So let’s start. (I really want the book!! ><)
Names and Personalities/Attitudes: The names, the names of the “ocean girls” were actually cool. I really love Key’s(Julia’s) name and of course Lo/Nadia. The triplets names (Anne, Jane, Celia) were kinda common but their personalities, when you read the book are perfect to them. But I don’t understand myself why I keep seeing Saoirse Ronan in my head while reading Celia’s POV. haha! Is it because they’re blonde? Eeh…
Settings: Since I love to be at the shore… always, I kinda envy Celia and Nadia/Lo because they can go there whenever they want. The settings, near the ocean, by the pier, near the church, it’s perfect.
Plot: The story’s about mermaids, or so I thought, well, at least they have lovely voice and cool skin color! lol and how did they became like that, and why did they forget the past, and what will they become in future. I also love the fact that the two protagonist in the story, Nadia/Lo and Celia, a girl who can’t remember her past and a girl who can read memories, have met! How cool.
Lessons: Too many to mention! *u*
Reaction: It’s a good book~ I started reading it last night and I can’t help not to finish it. I spent my whole day, though I should be doing much more important things than reading, but I just can’t let go of my cellphone (cause I dl it thru ebook, but promise to buy the book when I have money!!!). I recommend this book! Especially if you love fantasy and the ocean! :)
P.S. Sorry for not posting here much, Worpy! I’ve been busy these past few days. But don’t worry, I’ll update you with my drawings, later!
P.P.S. I’ll start to idolize Jackson Pearce. Will read some of his books, now!!
So my daddy don’t have anything to do at home so he bought some wood trees from somewhere and he started carving it. One of the things I am proud of is, my family (tho he’s not my real daddy, coz he’s my uncle but I call him daddy since they are the one who took good care of me since I was a child and until now) are good in arts! Yeah bah! Anyway, if there’s anyone who’s interested, he do some wood carving commission (PH only) I’ll post some of his works some other time. If interested, you can contact me by commenting here. *u*
You Are The Apple Of My Eye was based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Taiwanese author Giddens Ko, who also directed this movie. Starring Ko Chen-tung as Ko Ching-teng, a prankster and a mischievous student who eventually becomes a writer and Michelle Chen as Shen Chia-yi, an honor student who is very popular amongst the boys in her class. (*)
It’s a story about bringing back the memories of the past, remembering the feeling and moments with your first love, and realizing that true love doesn’t mean that lovers should end up being together.
This movie breaks my heart into million pieces. It’s a perfect movie to watch on this perfect Valentine’s Day for singles like me. But that doesn’t mean that story is about bitterness or something. Actually, the movie taught me the consequences of loving somebody. And it’s true, that when you love someone, it’s not about how you feel, it’s not about what will happen., and it’s not about receiving back the love that you are giving — It’s about loving without desiring anything in return and cherishing the chance of loving someone.
When watching the movie, I can’t refrain myself from smiling and also remembering my high school years. I super miss those — the “hoity-toity” times with your friends when your crush are passing, the stolen glances to your first love, the sweet and memorable moments together with the love of your life, those nonsense and little fights, those small reasons of cooling off, and specially the time when you both decided to end it up.
One thing I learned in the story is that… In love, you’ll get hurt and lose hope. You’ll try to move on and forget, but in the end, no matter what happens, you’ll always love and care for that person.
And this.. is one of my favorite scene: “Do you believe in parallel universe? Maybe in that universe we are together.” and the part… “Thank you for liking me.” and “Thank you for letting me like you all those years.” Hnggggg~ I’m crying now. :( And… the most saddest part, was remembering and that flashback moments! Damit I cried like a river!
I really thought they will end up marrying each other but yeah, you’ll never know what will happen in the end. :(
“When you really like a girl, you’d be happy for her. when you see her finding her Mr. Right, you will want them to be together and to live happily ever after.” – Ko-Teng
Still, it was a happy ending, they both found their “own” meaning of a happy ending. P.S. You. Should. Watch it if you still haven’t!!! :D
I hate you for making me feel this way.
I hate you for not caring about me.
I hate you for being so insensitive.
I hate you for saying you love me when you don’t mean it.
I hate you for acting as if nothing happened.
I hate you for smiling in front of me while I’m crying.
I hate you for doing this to me.
I hate you for hurting me.
And I hate myself… for loving a person like you.
You said you’ll always love me. You said you’ll never gonna leave me. You even said that you’ll never forget me. And you said that, together, we will always be happy. I smiled, hoping that what you’ve said to me were true.
“You promised. Right?”
“Yeah. But I’m sorry.”
You said you’re sorry. You said you didn’t mean to hurt me. You even said that it wasn’t you who I destined to love. And you said that we should stop this relationship we have. I cried, hoping that what you’ve said to me weren’t true.
Ryou (Narumi Riko) is a girl isolated by everyone else in her class, she doesn’t even have a cell phone because no one would call her anyway. One day, she suddenly starts hearing voices of Shinya, who lives in a different prefecture. Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai (literally “Only You Can Hear Me”) is a fantasy film about the long-distance love between these two characters through telepathy. (*)
So, I watched this movie one boring night with my sister. We actually didn’t like it at first because ahm, it was a bit unrealistic though we already knew that it was a fantasy film, just like the description said above. But the thing that i disliked about the movie is the “ringing” and “hanging up” effects when they mentally calling each other. Haha! I think it’s kinda weird to imagine that you’re calling someone mentally and it rings then suddenly stop ringing when picked up. You know? The usual cellphone? Hoho.
The other thing is, the time duration. No I mean, there was a 1 hour delay between their places (while having a conversation thru mental cellphone). For example, in Ryou’s (girl) place, it’s already 6 in the evening while in Shinya’s (boy) place, it’s only 5 in the afternoon. I just didn’t get the logic. How can they communicate each other when there’s a delay? And the other thing tooooo, Ryou had a contact to her future self. Hmm, I really don’t understand how. But still, you should watch this! IT’S a SAD ONE! My fave genre. :)
The thing that I liked about the movie was… THEY MET but THEY HAVEN’T.. or that’s what I thought. Haha! The movie was kinda confusing too >< I thought they couldn’t meet because of the delay of time but they actually met! But there are two version of how they met. Ehhh, it’s hard to explain! You should watch. xD
And the thing I loved about the movie, was the theme song :) I really love it. I love the part when Ryou (female lead) played the piano. How I wish I can play like her, too! Hohoho.
Anyway, my rate for the movie is 6/10 stars! I only got teary eyed and not that cry. :)
If ever I die, I would love to be buried when the sky is orange, the sun is not shining, the clouds are crying, the leaves are on the ground, the birds are not flying and singing, and the flowers are not in bloom — I want to feel that every body and every thing, even the surroundings and the non living things, are sad because I’m leaving.
If ever I die, I want them to play my favorite songs while marching to my final destination. I want them, specially the people who’s important to me, bring the letters I gave to them. And one by one, they’ll read it in front of my casket, bursting in tears because they’ll realize that they’d never get a letter from me again. And also, I want them to throw me some white and blue tulips, while my body is getting ready to be stuck forever six feet under.
If ever I die, I wouldn’t love to see their smiling faces. But that doesn’t mean that I want them to be lonely forever. It’s just that, I wanted to feel, even for once, that they are not happy to see me leave their sides. I wanted to feel, even for a second, that they will miss me and my presence when I’m gone.
And if ever I die, I wanted them to forget about me, to not remember me, and to erase me from their memories, forever. I want them to move on, be happy again, and create good and happy memories. Even without me.
